Courtney Orange Inspires the children
This week, we were delighted to welcome gymnast Courtney Orange to Hamstel Infant School for an exciting and inspiring visit. Courtney got all of our children moving during a fun-filled fitness circuit, where they enjoyed taking part in activities including star jumps, running on the spot and shoulder-tap planks. Amazing Athletics
What a fantastic day Team Hamstel had at the Key Stage 1 Quad Kids event! Competing against 17 other schools, the team showed amazing determination, teamwork, and energy from start to finish, eventually securing an incredible 2nd place overall, missing out on first place to West Leigh by just 2 points! Parents join our Outdoor Learning
This week, we were delighted to invite the parents of our Year 1 children to join us for our Outdoor Learning sessions. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying time together exploring our outdoor learning area and experiencing first-hand the exciting opportunities our children enjoy each week. Year 2 Learn First Aid
This week, Year 2 enjoyed taking part in Mini First Aid workshops, where they learned lots of important skills to help keep themselves and others safe. The children learned how to use a plaster correctly and talked about why first aid is important. They also learned how to check if someone might need emergency help by talking to them and checking if they are breathing. Gemma's Farm Visit
This week, the children were very excited to welcome Gemma's Farm to our school for a fantastic hands-on learning experience. The children had an amazing opportunity to meet a variety of friendly farm animals and learn all about how to care for them. Throughout the visit, the children showed great curiosity, enthusiasm, and confidence as they carefully handled and observed the animals. Team Hamstel takes on the Ruse Gymnastics Competition
Last Friday, Team Hamstel proudly attended the Rise Gymnastics Competition, where they competed across four areas: bar, beam, floor, and vault. Throughout the event, the team demonstrated a range of impressive movements, including pike, straddle, cartwheels, and bridges, showing both skill and determination. Each gymnast was carefully scored on their performance, and together they achieved an amazing combined total of over 200 points, earning every participant a well-deserved


Media Team Report: Happy Chicks Visit
This term we have had little visitors join us at school. They came to school as eggs. At first, they were very small and we had to be very quiet and careful. We kept them in a special warm box called an incubator. After a day, we saw tiny cracks in the eggs. It was very exciting! Then the chicks started to hatch. We watched them push their way out. A Wonderful Week Celebrating Books
Last week we celebrated our annual Book Week, and it was filled with fantastic experiences and plenty of excitement for reading. Throughout the week, the children enjoyed a range of activities including a Story Box assembly, storyteller workshops and special library visits for Year 1. Team Hamstel Tried, Tried and Tried Again
Excitement had been building for weeks as Team Hamstel trained with determination, enthusiasm and tremendous team spirit in preparation for the Southend KS1 Tag Rugby Tournament at Southend Rugby Club.
