Team Hamstel takes on the Ruse Gymnastics Competition
Last Friday, Team Hamstel proudly attended the Rise Gymnastics Competition, where they competed across four areas: bar, beam, floor, and vault. Throughout the event, the team demonstrated a range of impressive movements, including pike, straddle, cartwheels, and bridges, showing both skill and determination. Each gymnast was carefully scored on their performance, and together they achieved an amazing combined total of over 200 points, earning every participant a well-deserved


Media Team Report: Happy Chicks Visit
This term we have had little visitors join us at school. They came to school as eggs. At first, they were very small and we had to be very quiet and careful. We kept them in a special warm box called an incubator. After a day, we saw tiny cracks in the eggs. It was very exciting! Then the chicks started to hatch. We watched them push their way out. A Wonderful Week Celebrating Books
Last week we celebrated our annual Book Week, and it was filled with fantastic experiences and plenty of excitement for reading. Throughout the week, the children enjoyed a range of activities including a Story Box assembly, storyteller workshops and special library visits for Year 1. The children also loved bringing in their favourite stories from home to share with their classmates. One of the highlights of the week was trying to guess the identities of our Masked Readers,


Team Hamstel Tried, Tried and Tried Again
Excitement had been building for weeks as Team Hamstel trained with determination, enthusiasm and tremendous team spirit in preparation for the Southend KS1 Tag Rugby Tournament at Southend Rugby Club. When the much anticipated day finally arrived, the team were more than ready to rise to the challenge. Panathlon Event
On Tuesday Team Hamstel were in action at the Panathlon event at Alleyn Court School Six very eager and excited children, Blake - Hedgehog, Duggie- Squirrel, Evelyn - Squirrel, Leo - Otter, Lily - Otter & Noah - Otter, donned their PE kit and hopped aboard the minibus. Year 1 Crafty Christmas
Our Year 1 children had a fantastic time at our Christmas Craft Event, which filled the school hall with creativity, excitement and lots of festive cheer! We were absolutely delighted with the turnout, it was our best yet and it was lovely to welcome so many adults in to join the children and share in the fun. Enzo the Elf Visit
The children had a very special visitor arrive at the school last week. Enzo the Elf arrived bright and early to spend time with every class. Each class had the chance to meet Enzo and play some fun party games keeping active and moving through dance. Enzo was very cheeky and all the children loved meeting him.


The Nutcracker
On Thursday 5 th December, the children in Year 1 and 2 had the pleasure of watching a festive ballet performance. The talented dancers from ‘Let’s All Dance’ performed a wonderful rendition of ‘The Nutcracker’. The children were in awe as the dancers gracefully pirouetted, leapt and spun around the floor, retelling the story of Clara and her magical new Christmas present.
