The Media Team would like to welcome you back to school and to your new classes. We are a brand-new Media Team and we will be interviewing teachers and our friends and writing about what happens at our school during the year. We are now a team of 10! From Year 2, we have Joseph, Evelyn, Leo, Dolleigh, Dylan and Chanju. From Year 1, we have Willow, Beau, Thomas and Savannah.

We have meetings every Monday and sometimes during the week, we get to go out of class for a little bit to interview people. These last few weeks, we have been working hard on our interviewing skills by thinking of questions to ask everyone, asking those questions and learning how to use digital cameras. We finally interviewed teachers and our friends in the school about coming back after summer and harvest.

Here is what everyone had to say:

Leo: What has been your favourite part about coming back to school and why?

Elsi: I really liked coming back to school because I love seeing my friends.

Chanju: How did you feeling coming back to school?

Hallie: I am really happy because I love Year 2 because I like seeing my friends and my new teachers.

Willow: How did you feel coming back to school?

Mrs Bryant: I felt really happy because I could see all the children from Year 1 and 2 again and I met the new Reception children.

Savannah: What do you like about coming back to school and why?

Mrs Bryant: I like getting into a routine again and I like solving problems because sometimes teachers may come to me with a problem and I can help them.

Evelyn: How did you feel coming back to school and why?

Mrs Tracy: I was excited to come back to school because I could see all the children and all the teachers again.

Thomas: How are you?

Mrs Tracy: I am happy to be back in school, seeing all the new children in Reception and welcoming back our Year 1 and Year 2 children

Joseph: What food did you collect for harvest?

Mr Roche: I bought in Pasta but there was lots of food that people bought in and it was brilliant.

Beau: What would you have liked for harvest and why?

Mr Roche: What a good question! I think the main thing is to help all those people who aren’t as lucky as us. It’s really important that we help them. That’s what I liked about harvest?

Dylan: What food do you not like, because mine is bananas, and why?

Mr Roche: Hmmmm, you know… I’m not a massive fan of bananas and I don’t like the taste of sweetcorn but vegetables are good for you!

Dolleigh: What did you like about coming back to school?

Joseph: I have liked joining Media Team and interviewing people like my brother Alfie.

We hope you have enjoyed reading our first project. We are excited to carry on reporting the school news to you for the rest of year! Keep tuned every half term to our reports.
