This week, Year 2 enjoyed taking part in Mini First Aid workshops, where they learned lots of important skills to help keep themselves and others safe.

The children learned how to use a plaster correctly and talked about why first aid is important. They also learned how to check if someone might need emergency help by talking to them and checking if they are breathing.

During the workshop, the children explored what to do in an emergency and practised how to call 999. They learned what information they would need to give, including their name, where they are, and what has happened. The children were very sensible and thoughtful during the role-play activities.

One of the highlights of the session was learning about CPR. The children had the chance to practise chest compressions on special training dummies and were very excited to have a go themselves!

The workshops were fun, practical, and very informative. We were so proud of how well the children listened, joined in, and showed maturity while learning these valuable life skills.
