Year 2 First Aid Workshop

Hamstel Infant School were very lucky to have a visit from Mini First Aid Essex run by the brilliant Frankie. Mini First Aid deliver essential First Aid to children of all ages where they learn vital life skills that could save someone's life. Children in Year 2 learnt all about what to do in an emergency and what number to call. They also learnt about how to treat a head bump by applying a cold compress for 10 minutes. The children then learnt the recovery position and how to perform CPR whilst singing along to Baby Shark. Year 2 absolutely loved this and all left with a First Aid booklet to show to their grown-ups and a certificate.
