Team Hamstel Cross Country Success!

The first competition of the school year took place on Thursday 25th September and Team  Hamstel were ready to go! The team had been training hard during their lunchtimes to make sure they were ready to take on the 1,000m Cross Country races.

The competition began with the Year 1 girls, who were competing for the school for the very first time. They certainly didn't let us down! Amal finished 10th, followed by Deliah in 24th, Jessica in 29th, Hallie in 31st, Rosie in 35th and Primrose in 37th. An amazing start for Team Hamstel!

Next up were the Year 1 boys, who produced Hamstel's best team score of the day. Dylan had one of the runs of the competition, finishing an impressive 2nd, followed by Fikayo in 9th, Max in 15th, Musa in 24th and Ibrahim in 41st.

The Year 2 girls were next and continued the team's excellent performance. Savannah finished 5th, Florence 10th, Myla-Mae 14th, Willow 28th, Sienna 29th and Ruby 50th.

The Year 2 boys were equally impressive, with Luca finishing 4th, Beau Q 14th, Isaac 38th, Harry 47th, Leo 61st and Beau B 72nd.

All of our runners showed fantastic resilience and determination, particularly in the hot conditions. They kept going right until the finish line and represented Team Hamstel brilliantly.

The team results were just as impressive:

Year 1 Girls – 3rdYear 1 Boys – 2ndYear 2 Girls – 2ndYear 2 Boys – 5th

When all the results were combined, Team Hamstel finished an amazing 2nd overall! 🎉

A huge well done to everyone who took part. You showed fantastic teamwork, determination and resilience and represented Team Hamstel amazingly well. We are incredibly proud of you all!

What a way to start the sporting year!
