About Us

Welcome to Hamstel Infants School and Nursery, a thriving hub of infant and early years education, sited within the Southchurch Ward and serving the East Central area of Southend on Sea. 

 

Along with our partner junior school, we are part of the Portico Academy Trust and collectively with the onsite Children and Family Centre, we provide excellent education from birth to 11 years on our wonderful shared site. 

 

At Hamstel, our school value ‘We Care’ flows through everything we do.

  • The behaviour across the school is excellent and this is very much supported by access to learning outside the classroom and the experiences and opportunities the children have, made available to them through carefully planned and supported risk taking and trust building activities.
