The School Day
The school day starts at 8:50 am and finishes at 3.15 pm.
We have currently extended our Registration period to allow a longer window for drop off and collection which hopefully will avoid queuing. Classroom doors open at 8:30 am and will close promptly at 8:50 am.
Drop off and collection
Children must be supervised at all times on site by a parent or carer and enter the school via their external class door. Children should be collected from their door at the end of the day unless they are attending an after school club. If for any reason you are unavoidably detained, please inform us and your child will be asked to wait at the school office.
Arrivals after 8:50am must go to the main reception where you will be asked the reason for late arrival. Regular late arrival or collection will result in a meeting to agree an action plan to support improvement in punctuality.
The school day ends at 3:15pm. You need to contact the school office if you have an extenuating circumstance and will be late in collecting your child.
Lunch
There is an hour for lunch:
11:30 to 12:30 in Year 2
12:00 to 1:00 in Year 1
12:25 to 1:25 in Reception
11:20 to 12:20 in Nursery (all day children only)
The Daily Kilometre
Each day the children take part in The Daily Kilometre, this is based on the national initiative, Daily Mile, where the children run or jog – at their own pace – in the fresh air with friends around a marked circuit. Children can occasionally walk to catch their breath, if necessary, but should aim to run or jog for the full 15 minutes.
