NSPCC Assembly

On Friday 5th July we welcomed Julia, an NSPCC volunteer and her mascot, ‘Buddy’, a friendly green speech bubble, into our Monday afternoon assembly. Classes in Years 1 and 2 learned that the NSPCC believes that children should be able to speak out to someone if they are worried or unhappy. The assembly provided child friendly, age appropriate, interactions to help pupils understand that all children have the right to speak out and to be heard. They also learned that it is just as important to be safe as they can get help when they need it. Portico Academy Cricket Friendly Match

On Thursday 4th July Hamstel had visitors to the school. No, not Gemma’s farm or Ofsted but a team of cricketers from our partner schools Friars and Porters. The children all had a great time. One of the pupils from

The exhibition impressed many of the children and parents and the visitors passing through the foyer. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to see the hard work, effort and incredible creativity of t

Bournemouth Park scored 50 runs, then it was our chance to bat and we scored 54 runs. We were straight up again playing against West Leigh. We won the toss again and stuck with fielding first. The children worked really well as a team and made some excellent catches. West Leigh finished on 40 runs. We stepped up to the batting tee and started to hit the ball. We
